Help with itouch urgent?

Can you help me solve my itouch problem?

• my friend gave me his itouch two days ago. the itouch worked perfectly before i updated it. he never used his itouch in a while so i downloaded the latest update for the itouch on my computer. it said it will delete all of his songs, apps, etc. I didn't care since it's my itouch now. after that, it said it will back up all of his data on my computer but after a few hours of it trying to restore my data, i decided to unplug it and try to redo the steps again. Now, it's in recovery mode and that it has to restore in order to work with itunes and that no matter how much times i try to restore my itunes, going to different computers with itunes, restarting my computer and changing usb chargers, it doesn't want to restore by always having an error 2003. I even contacted Apple and that the representative doesn't know how to fix it and plus, since i live in Hawaii, there's no Apple stores on my island. Also, the warranty is expired and that both my itunes and itouch are in it's latest version. What can i do to fix this?

  1) Plug it up to your computer with iTunes OPEN. 2) Hold home AND power for 10 seconds 3) Release power; keep holding home for 15 more seconds It should now show up in iTunes. Email me if you still need help: [email protected]
