Why won't my iPod charge from my PC?

Ipod Touch 4th gen won't charge or connect to PC?

  • I hadn't used my Ipod Touch in a couple weeks (Hadn't used it much since I bought it in fact), so naturally the battery was dead. I plugged it into my laptop like usual but it didn't begin to take a charge, Also, the computer did not pick up that it was plugged in. I've tried: -- Leaving it plugged in for an extended period of time -- Plugging in into a different USB -- Plugging in into a different PC -- Manual reset by holding the power and home buttons for ten seconds. The next thing I'll try will be to borrow an outlet charger from a friend, but would like to know if anyone has had this problem before and knows what to do. Thanks!

The only other thing i could think of is bringing it back to apple and they will almost always fix it for you. Just make sure its not jailbroken, or they wont do anything for you

take it back to where you bought it and get a new one because that one seems messed up :)
