How to crack or jailbreak ipod touch?

DIRECTIONS IT JAILBREAK IPOD SHOWN HERE: download the ipod touch 3.1.2 firmware here http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ make sure u use the ipod update 3.1.2, not iphone update. after downloaded, make sure at the end of the file name, make sure it say .ipsw or the file name says Apple firmware. unfortunatley with me it came out as .zip file so IF THIS HAPPENS to u go 2 (IF ON WINDOWS) control panel->appearance and themes->folder options->view-> and uncheck hide extensions for known file types then rename file with .ipsw at end. after it is .ipsw make sure ipod is not plugged in 2 comp. and off. now hold home button (circle button) for about 12 seconds and then plug in ipod WHILE STILL HOLDING HOME BUTTON(DO NOT LET GO) after itunes recognizes the ipod and a popup appears about a mode ur ipod is in and ur ipods screen show the connet to itunes screen, u can let go of home button. u should see the ipod with details as N/A and the restore button. HOLD SHIFT and press the restore button. it will show u a little pop-up to browse for a file. go to the firmware of 3.1.2 ipod touch firmware and restore with that. after its done, it should say that ur on 3.1.2 firmware. it will ask u if u want 2 download 3.1.3 but u should kno by now not 2 download it!! now u can jailbreak. :)
