Itunes freezes when syncing Iphone 4?

ITunes/iPhone syncing issues?

• I just recently sent my laptop into Geek Squad. While it was there they had to do stuff with the hard drive so it got completely reformatted and I lost all my data. I had to re-download iTunes but all the music and such is still on my iPhone. I reverted all of my purchased things back onto iTunes but that doesn't include everything. Now whenever I try to sync it it just says "Syncing my iPhone (Step 1 of 1) and doesn't do anything further. For my work I need to put more music on my iPhone, and it's not letting me. Please help!

  I'm just taking a guess here but is it because your computer does not remember that you purchased them through iTunes since iTunes got deleted with the reformatting? If your purchased music got deleted and you try to put it back on it may not let you since it might not be in your library anymore (If it had been deleted). If you go to your music folder on your computer, then itunes folder, you will find something called iTunes library (its an iTunes file). If that is not there, it was screwed up or deleted with the reformatting. I hope you can understand what i am saying and good luck.
