Viewsonic Viewdock: iPod shows: charging not supported with this accessory?
-
I have the viewsonic viewdock, and for some reason it stopped charging my iPod. I have a 4th gen nano and also a 120gb classic. They both will sync through the monitor dock but not charge. It used to work so that is why I am confused as to why it doesn't anymore. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Could it be the newer iPods? Thanks for the help...

Answer:
it is just a problem with the newer ipod models. my sisters does the same thing to. you have to plug it in to your computer, or get a usb charger.

The New ipods charge only via usb cable. most older docks charge by way of firewire. basically, you're out of luck.
