Can you record a 48000 Hz MP3 signal at 44100 Hz without having audio sync and quality problems?
-
I am trying to record TV from a set top box to a computer using a VHS to DVD converter. The set top box output is the component inputs of the VHS to DVD converter and the output of the converter is my computer. When trying to record audio using the converter and the software that came with it, the highest bitrate the software will record in is 44100 Hz, but the set box audio signal is being sent at 48000 Hz. Will I encounter any problems when setting the software to record at 44100 Hz in terms of audio sync and sound quality?

Answer:
Something somewhere along the way is upconverting it so no issues with Sync.
