How do you restart/reboot your iPod?

How do you restore an iPod with an error # 1433 on it.?

• This is a 2005 4GB 1st generation iPod. I bought it new a long time ago. Used it a couple times than error #1433 came up. Its still in new condition. My screen says use iTunes to restore. I plug it into my Mac iBook G4 and iTunes says iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore iPod before it can be used with iTunes. I click Restore button. Than it asks me if Im sure. And I click the restore and update button. It than says restoring iPod. It'll sit there for a minute than a dialog box comes up and says iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1433). I can either click more information or Ok. If I click Ok. It goes to iTunes and nothing happens with the iPod. When I click more info it brings me to this website http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1372 I did everything on that page it said to do and nothing worked. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes which is version 9.0.2 or something like that. I tried to restore iPod though it didn't work. I know my USB port works fine because my other iPod works fine when I connect it. I tried unplugging the iPod and re-plugging it in different orders. I tried restarting my computer. I tried restarting iTunes. I even brought it to a Mac genius at an apple store and all he could suggest was if I trade in an old iPod I'll get 10% off a new one. This was the Mac genius that said it not a store rep. The only thing I can think of is maybe it can't be updated with iTunes 7 or newer. So please, does anyone know how to fix my problem?
