How do I convert itunes music to mp3?

  • I want to transfer my songs to my brother's computer, because he only has an mp3 player. I didn't download any of my songs from itunes, but I don't have them in mp3 either. All my songs are in itunes though, and he needs mp3 format. But how do I get all the songs to mp3 without losing them on my itunes? I have Nero 9 if that makes a difference. I know I need a converter or something, but what do I use? I have a lot of songs so I just can't put them all on cds. If I could get them all on a dvd in mp3 format that would be great. I just don't know how to do it. So please help Thanks

all songs are in mp3 format. if you want them on a cd you have to right click on the song and click convert to AAC and there you go

Because iTunes purchased music and video have DRM copyright protection, you have to remove the DRM at first, then you can convert and edit it or put it on other players. You may try this DRM remover. The only way to get iTunes music out of their proprietary format is to burn it to a disc. Frankly, your situation is exactly why iTunes is so closed with their format. You don't have the license to "share" these songs with your brother. You own them, and you can use them how you see fit, but you're not allowed to share them freely with others.

The music download from itunes is drm protected. in order to play it on non-apple mp3/mp4 players, you need to remove the drm and convert the protected music to drm free mp3 format. the easiest way is to burn an audio cd in itunes and rip it back as mp3 format.
