-
Im thinking about getting an Ipod Touch What are the pros and cons to it. And what does the cost look like now? Also with the Iphone a seemingly big hit If i had a choice and it wasnt absolutely necessary for me to have a phone included in the device is the iphone or the itouch a better choice. im not talking features like one has sms and the other doesnt im talking about how theyve developed and come on. also does the itouch have a replaceable by the user battery yet thanks

Answer:
You ask 50 million questions in one, and that's partially why you have no answers to this question. Normally, people are dying to answer iPod questions so they can hype the iPod up. I'll tell you what I can. Pro: -Sound quality -Volume level -Applications -Wifi capability Con: -Glitches (like disappearing album art, stopping activity and returning you to the menu, songs syncing more than once, on the go playlists disappearing, etc) -Lacking some options (i.e. various ways to shuffle music) -Cost Straddling the Line: -Touch screen can be good and bad. It's kind of cool, but at the same time dealing with unlocking your screen can be annoying, especially when you want to change the volume or go to the next song -Size: some people really care about the thinness; I don't, and don't really think it's terribly much smaller than a Zune -Battery Life: can last a long time, but it depends on your settings, i.e. wifi on or turn auto-lock off (the first thing under this section), and your battery will run down faster -iTunes: I love iTunes, especially in comparison to the Zune software, but some people hate it As far as I know the 32GB ones now cost $400 instead of $500. But I don't know the other prices. Just look it up on best buy's website or some other site. Touch is better than iPhone if you don't need a phone, because the Touch has more GBs on it. Don't know what you're trying to say about features vs "developed and come on," but seriously, this is the most important thing if you don't need a phone as far as I can tell. You will pay more for an iPhone that has less space on it. I don't know about the battery. I was the same way about iPods until the Touch came out, and so this is the only iPod I've ever had--have had many other players. Based off that, no, you can't play wma's on here. But iTunes has a feature where when you add wma files to the iTunes Library, it will ask if you want to convert those files to an iPod format (mp3 or aac). That's what I have been doing when I add wma files I had on my Zune. iPods only play mp4 movie files. Nothing bigger than 32gb yet, and that's only on the iPod Touch, last I heard/read (see my comments on the Touch vs iPhone).
