How do I get Wi-Fi on an iPod touch?

How would I get free Wi-Fi on my iPod touch?

  • Answer:

Well, I know how you are looking at "free" wifi, but unfortunately, it does not exist except in places such as hotels, or fast food restaurants or libraries. If you are willing to pay a fee per month you can get a mifi. It is your own personal hotspot and you can get wifi anywhere you go.

First of all you need a wireless internet connection, and know the password. Settings > WiFi > On > enter internet details. No charge.

If you're around an area where there is wi-fi, go into your settings, there will be an option that says "Wi-Fi", click it. Now, flip the switch to "on", select a wireless network. If it is open you will automatically connect, if it needs a password, it will ask you for it. Also, if the name isn't showing up, click "Other..." Then enter the name, and password if needed. Hopes this helps! (Other than this, I don't think you can get free wi-fi unless you pay for it.)

Go someplace that has free WiFi (like McDonalds) then on your iPod go into Settings, then WiFi and make sure it's turned on, and connect to the network. If it asks for a password to connect, it's not free.

There's no such thing as free Wi-Fi. Somebody pays for it. You would be able to use it free of charge if you were A) At a free public hotspot or B) Using an unsecured network. (one that doesn't ask for a password)
