Does anyone know when the next generation of the ipod touch is going to come out?

i really want one, but probably wont be able to buy the 2nd generation till july, or possibly december. is there a 3rd generation coming out this year? Or should i just get the 2nd generation this december??

there isn't going to be an ipod touch 3g. And if they are making one it will be releasing until 2010.
