What's wrong with my itunes?

I have been experiencing difficulties opening up itunes for the past week, and I have been troubleshooting on apple.com. But nothing seems to work. Everytime I try to open my itunes a message appears that says Quicktime was not found: Quicktime is required to run itunes. Please reinstall itunes. So I try reinstalling it. But it doesn't do any good. It still says the same thing. Please help! Thanks, :)

get the latest version of quicktime, and if you do already, reinstall it.
