How do i use a itunes gift card?

i bought a 10 dollar itunes gift card and i clicked on reedem and typed in the number on the back and in the corner of itunes by my e-mail adress it says $10.00 but when i go to purchase something it still asks for a credit card and doesnt give me the option of even using the gift certificate how can i use it to purchase a game? thanks so much! :)

that's definitely a glitch that apple customer service must help you with. you dont need a credit card at all. contact them online or call

You still have to have the account information for apple. When you purchase, there is a giftcard number on the back--- use that!
