Ipod touch app downloads plugging into computer will i get a virus?

  • I have an app (idownloads+) that i can download music for free but i can only keep the music stored on the app and i am running out of memory on my ipod. There are a lot of songs on my regular itunes file that i would like to delete so i could delete some memory and make space. The app i get music from comes from a website that i wouldnt use on my computer to my itunes because i would most likely get a virus but i wont if i keep them on my ipod. My question is, Is there any chance my computer could get a virus if i plug my ipod in to my computer to take off some songs on my regular itunes? I am not messing with anything on the app so i dont know if it will go on my computer or not. P.s. I am using mp3skull.com for the app Please Help!

    You shouldn't get a virus unless it is on your iPod which would mean you would get it either way. If you have a good virus protection program on your computer you shouldn't get a virus so I would take the chance.

mp3skull does not give viruses, you can check for viruses with your Anti-Virus software

Itunes runs Anti-virus software automatically when an app is uploaded to their database. It is also contained on itunes once it syncs to your computer so it cant give your computer a virus if you downloaded an infected file. You could also cancel the first sync, go to the ipod tab in itunes, go to apps, uncheck sync apps, and click sync at the bottom. This will make it a triple prevention system to keep viruses off your computer.
