How to set my PSP wifi?

Why won't my ipod connect to wifi?!?

• I just bought an ipod touch 4th gen refurbished, but the seller assured me everything was in 100% working order. My stepdad is a computer tech so he set everything up on it, and at first it connected to the internet perfectly. I brought it to my friend's house and used their internet connection which had no password, and it worked fine for a little while, but then it kept kicking me off the internet, and when i went into the wifi settings to see what was wrong, it wouldn't even recognize that there was a wifi connection anymore! My friend was on her wireless laptop right next to me, and was on the internet fine, as was my laptop. Everything else in the house was working but my ipod! So I went home, and when I first walked in, the connection was fine, but after like 15 minutes, it did the same thing where it kicked me off and wouldn't recognize a connection! I then checked to see if maybe it was the connection, but my psp and 3ds were on the internet fine! Someone please help me fix this! I've tried resetting my ipod and turning my ipod's wifi off and then back on.

  Dewey's on the right track. Some models of itouches and certain routers just seem to have this kind of problem. Mine has it at home but not at my friend's house. The problem isn't with the itouch. It's in the router. Something gets hung up in it and blocks transmissions to the itouch. Resetting the router generally fixes it for a good while. Reset the router while the itouch is off. Then turn it on.
