How do i reset my ipod touch?

I bought an ipod touch from my friend, but I don't know how to reset it so it has my info instead of hers?

  • When I plug in my ipod touch, on itunes it says her name instead of mine. I tried to download a free app and i needed to confirm my account email and password which was still under hers but when i go to settings it has my email address not hers because i deleted hers. I don't know if im making much sense, but is there a way of completely resetting my ipod?

    Hook it up to ur Computer. Go to itunes click restore. It should say restore as new ipod, click yes.

Apologies in the instance that this approach might be a tad off issue but I simply had to write about this particular excellent thing I learned. Apple inc is creating an overstock of the new ipad along with providing away $100 itune gift card so that you can down load these types of very good songs! I recently obtained my ipad tablet two as well as i-tunes gift card through the mail a few days ago.

Open itunes and click on the devicd name. Then click on the restore button to reset it to factory default. Then create an itunes account to downliad stuff. Im currently on my ipod touch as i type this.

Alright on the iPod go onto settings and go down to general, scroll down and at the very bottom you should see the option "erase all content and settings" there you have reset the iPod. Also make a new account on iTunes I'm sure they have a log out option, click on it then find where it gives the option create new account, and create your own.

ya to download apps, even if there r free. u need to have a itunes account setup
