Touch screen not responding?

I dropped my ipod touch in water and the touch screen is not responding?

  • it was working for about an hour and the touch screen does not respond, the home and power button do, i plug it into my computer and it works. what do i do?

    Yeah it's probably because iPod Touches aren't water proof.

Put it on top of a boiler/radiator for 24 hours, if still doesn't work you can send it off to be fixed.

The rice idea method usually works pretty well, but with not many places for moisture to evaporate from it will take awhile if it works at all. Patience is the key here just leave it in the rice for a week to make sure it is dry before you plug it in because if there is any moisture the current running through the ipod will fry it for sure.

PUT IT IN RICE NOWWW! i am telling you its the wierdest thing but it works! i dropped my iphone the deppend of my pool and i didnt know. i thought my phone was just missing in the hose so i came outside and saw it in the water i thought it was done for. anyways i put it in a bowl of uncooked rice for about 1 week and i took it out started charging it and it works to this day still!

Quick put it.. in a bag of rice as well as the battery in a different bag full of rice keep it in for about a day.. the rice will absorb all the liquids in the battery and stuff.
