How to delete Ipod Touch apps from you Computer not your ipod?

• I downloaded an app on my PC because I couldn't find it when I searched on my ipod. To transfer it to my ipod i used the "sync" feature. This transferred the download but also downloaded all the apps to my computer. I don't have alot of space on my computer so i unchecked the sync box and it said that it'd delete the apps. I thought this meant from my computer. What it did was keep the apps on my computer and just erase all the apps on my ipod which was really annoying. So I'm redownloading all the apps. Is it possible to delete the apps that are on my computer and keep the ones on my ipod? Is there another way to transfer apps from teh computer without having to do an inconvenient sync?
