What is firmware for your itouch?

Can find itouch 2g 2.2.1 firmware?

  • i have itouch 2g firmware 3.0 bu ti need to downgrade it to firmware 2.2.1. Now i found a bunch of sites so i can download it but everytime i download it it is in a zipped folder so i extracted it but it comes out o anohter folder and i just can't find the .ipsw file anywhere. i have a Dell laptop so i dont know if that effects anything, but can somone please help me.

    if you had 2.2.1 before it should still be in your computer C:\Users\[name]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
