Does the Recorder app for the iPod touch actually work?

  • There's like two apps in the appstore that says you can record using the iPod touch.. Is it true? Like how can it actually record on the iPod touch.. there are no extra little holes on it. So, is it true? Can it actually record? Is the quality ok? Thanks.

    You cannot record solely from an iPod Touch, but Apple sells headphones with a built in mic, and you can use external mics to record but don't quote me on that one, I haven't tried it myself

Yes, with the iPod Touch with iPhone OS 3.0 you can record but you have to have a external microphone which you can get from the Apple Store for $30. i haven't used it but i would assume it would be good quality.

You have to buy headphones with a built in mic to use apps with voice compatability on the iPod touch.

you need a mic - then they work but, if you upgrade to 3.0 OS, it comes with a voice recorder app
