How do you put music on an iPod nano?

I got a ipod nano and it does not have the USB slot in it, It only has the headphone, how can i put music in?

  • I have an ipod nano and it only has the headphone slot in it not the USB slot, i have the charger but it seems that i have to charge it through the slot of the headphone. Not like a regular usb, where i can connect it to my computer and charge it. I am wondering how can i put music in it by connecting it to my computer, but i dont have the type of cable that will connect me to the computer with my ipod, i was wondering if anybosy has any suggestions.

    I see two causes to this problem. 1. You have missed the hole. Because iPods do have a long slot into which you put your iPod to usb cable. It should have a similar form to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Apple_Dock_Connector.jpg or 2. Failing that, if it does not have a hole it is not an iPod. Did you buy it in an Asian market or something. Use this picture for reference. there is a slot in the bottom that your cord hooks up to the usb end goes into the computer

i had this same thing happen to me. If you send me your ipod i can get a cord and i have a tool to make it turn in to a charger and put on your music for your ipod so just tell me if you would like to do this or not and i will be able to fix it for cheap.

I didn't know they made those. Are you sure it is a nano or just a generic brand, if it is a nano I would make sure I have itunes downloaded and if the problem continues call apple customer service or something

Is it exactly the iPod? Because if it uses a headphone jack instead of the USB cord, it is probably a imitation. Or, it just comes like that..

do u have a nano chromatic or the older one? my friend has both ipod nanos and the both seem to the usb slot. did u just buy the ipod?why not go to the store and check with them to see hope this helped
