ITunes "account-creating" question ???

I have just received an iTunes gift from someone... I wanted to redeem it, but i don't have any iTunes account... i have iTunes downloaded, but don't have an account for it... so, to redeem the gift, i am planning 2 create a new account... My question is, when i create it, will iTunes be going 2 give me bills /ask 4 my money /ask for credit card # / stuff like that ??? even though i am JUST going 2 redeem a gift??? note: i am NOT going 2 buy anything from iTunes.... i will JUST REDEEM my gift (a song)... Thanx... (=

ur gonna need a credit card or debit. but they wont take no money from u if ur not using it. but u dnt have 2 input any info such as that. just go to redeem code

unfortunatley, yea, it will ask for your credit card info, thats the only way to make an account. but as long as you just spend however much was on the gift card, your credit card wont be billed.
