How To Get Music To Library?

I have music on my iPod that's not in my iTunes library, how do i get the music from my iPod into my library?

  • i have a 3rd generation iPod and i have music on in it that isn't on my iTunes library. I want to get all of music on to my library so i can back it up but i don't know how. The apple website cant tell me anything because its lame so help me please?? thanks

    This is a toughie....mostly because iTunes sucks Did you try dragging a song from your iPod into the Library when you are in iTunes. I think I have tried to do that before but it doesn't let you for some reason. If the draggin thing doesn't work, you will have to ask some magical person because I do not think it is possible unless something magical occurs in iTunes for you. P.S. iTunes sucks....oh wait I already said that, didn't I? Just trying to get my point across :)

I'm not entirely sure (since I have never used an iPod nano 3G) but iDump works for nano 1Gs so I think it would for 2Gs & 3Gs. Search http://download.com for it.

It depends on the type of iPod. There's a programme called "iDump" that lets you take your music off your iPod onto your computer, then just import the music folder from your ipod. http://www.softpedia.com/get/IPOD-TOOLS/Multimedia-IPOD-tools/iDump.shtml to download it. hope I helped.
