Jailbreaking an Ipod Touch Advantages & disadvantages?

If I was thinking about jailbreaking my ipod would you recommend it? What is so special about jailbreaking an ipod? What benefits do you get out of it? What are the bad things about jailbreaking an ipod? Do you yourself or know someone who has a jailbroken ipod or other device, if so do you or don't you like it? Anything else you think I should know about jailbreaking an ipod tips & information? (i have an ipod touch 4th generation 64gb)

Jail-breaking an apple device enables you to get more apps. Some of 'em are pretty cool. A classmate of mine has done it. When it comes to jail breaking, there will be no problems once you've already jail broken it, but if it is not done properly, you may experience problems :)
