How do I authorize songs in my iTunes library?

How do I sync my ipod touch to my itunes library without deleting all the songs on my Ipod?

  • When I try to sync my ipod, itunes says it has allready been synced with another itunes library, and if I continue it will delete all the songs on my ipod and replace them with the songs in the itunes library. I have songs on my ipod that I got from a CD, and I cannot figure out how to put those songs on my itunes library.

  • Answer:

Put the CD into your iTunes library, THEN sync all to your iPod. If the CD is new, purchased, it will import with all names, info, album artwork to your iTunes library. iTunes allows you to import a CD someone made for you from another iTunes or music program, but may not have the track names and artwork. The warning you see is because your iPod was synced with another computer before the one you are trying to use now. Syncing will replace the contents with the contents of the iTunes account on the current computer.
