How can I put music videos and movies onto my iPod?

How can i put movies and music videos in my ipod touch cuz i tried to convert them by right click ...?

• and then i watched what i converted from itunes but there was no sound and tried to convert to mp4 from other programs but they weren't free and easy ...HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
