Moving songs from an iPod to a computer?

  • All of the songs on my computer accidentally got erased, so I was wondering if there is a way to hook my iPod, which still has all of my songs, up to my computer and copy them into my itunes library. I'm afraid to try it myself because usually the iPod syncs up with the itunes library. So i'm worried that if the itunes library is empty, it will erase all of my songs on my ipod too...

    You need to get an ipod ripper. If you do connect your iPod to your computer and you have it set up to automatically sync you will lose all your songs. If you need to charge your iPod just make sure you have the manually sync option selected so you can charge it.

First, download some software that copy's songs from an ipod back to a computer, (you might have to pay.) When you plug up your ipod, change the settings so that your ipod won't automatically sync to match your itunes.
