Is there anyway to download ipod songs to itunes?

Why won't my iPod sync up to my iTunes and download the songs onto my iPod? are there certain settings?? HELP

  • I am trying to download songs from iTunes onto my iPod but it says it is syncing up and when it is done I disconnect and there is NOTHING on my iPod. I bought this on eBay and have had songs on it already so I knww it will work I just can't get it to work :(

    Make sure the songs are in the right format. MP4 is what they will need to be in. Other file types will show up in itunes and play but the ipod will only play MP4 formats. If you're dragging a group of songs to the ipod it will sync some of the songs -the ones in the correct format but the others it will not and just leave them int he itunes library. Some files may say MP4 but there are variations of MP4. one is h.264. Look at the files' properties and it will say h.264 somewhere in it. If some or all of your songs were downloaded from free sites then this may be your problem. You may be able to reformat them with a conversion program.

When you plug your iPod into iTunes, click on the Ipod under devices (left hand side, just below "Store" and just above "Playlists"). It should display the name of the iPod, capacity, etc...Above the photo of your iPod, there are tabs. Click on "Music," then check the box that says "Sync Music." Then click on "All Music and Playlists," then click "Apply" at the bottom right of iTunes, then "Sync."

well first of all you got it off ebay. ebay sells fake stuff and i know they sell fake shoes. your ipod may not be fake but something could be wrong with it thats why i only get my stuff from the mall. someone probably gave it to ebay because something was wrong with it. now when u plug the ipod into the computer u should have itunes on there already so it should come up on the left side. click on ur ipod on the left side and go to register later. the go to sync and it should sync your whole library if not it will tell you.
