How can an iPhone text an iPod/iTouch?

idk. look into the app store, or google it. the internet has everything.

With some free apps from the appstore i think they are called text free or something like that.

is your iPhone compatible with iOS 5 (iPhone 3gs and above?).. use iMessage... the iPod touch you're messaging has to have iOS 5 installed on it as well. otherwise find what you're looking for on the app store, im sure there's lots of texting apps...

TextPlus. Or you can get your friend to download textplus and they can text straight to your number with out you downloading anything. Edit: You can try googling text plus and it should give you their website. That's what I did. There's a link on their website.

There's a couple of apps at the app store that can turn your iPod into a phone! I'm on 1 now, I use text free, it's a free app that allows me to text, it comes with a phone number and 10 free phone minutes, phone minutes can be added by various ways, and I can use my iPod as a phone but only in a 'hotspot' it still doesn't get 3G , but well maybe there's an app for that too, I'll check! Anyway you need the phone number that comes with your friends app, for their I pod
