Will a atari 2600 system hook up to tv's of today?and how?
-
i want to buy a used or new atari 2600 but i do not know if they can hook up to tv's of today that have no screws in the back.!

Answer:
There are still a lot of new TVs that have those "screws in the back" known as coaxial inputs. You can still connect the coax switch that comes with a 2600 inline between the antenna and TV. The TV should still have an analog tuner, so you can still set it to Channel 3 or 4. If there is no coax input, you could route the coax to the input of an old VCR, then output via composite A/V to the TV.

There are some flatscreen tvs that still use coax cables. If the tv has them, it should work. Just remember retro console only work on channels 3 and 4.
