How can I connect my laptop to my TV without a HDMI cable?

Hi everyone! I am wanting to hook up my TV and laptop so I can watch TV and films from my laptop on my TV because the screen is bigger. I have a HDMI cable, and I use this to connect my DVD player and TV - but my laptop doesn't have a port for HDMI, so I was wondering is there any other way to link them up?? My laptop is a HP G56 and my TV is a SAMSUNG PS43D450 43" HD Ready Plasma TV Hope someone can help! Thank you :) xx
