How can I get the device camera status in Ionic?

Why my computer thinks there is no memory card in my camera?

  • Ok 3 things, Camera, Camera Memery card, Computer. My dads friend couldint get into the camera memery card by usb, from what my dad said so when i took my dads camera and put it into my computer via usb my computer cudint even detect the card in the camera... My pc clames that there is nothing there when there clearly is, i coulding explore or force open it or even scan it, it keeps prompting me to insert a device when theres the camera which is a device already pluged in. Camera is still able to take photos ect everything is still there, only problem is no computer can read the card or detect that it is actually there. Its most likely a virus or thats what i think or maybe something else... So if anyone has a solution or and thoughts about this please detail it =] Thanks in advance.

Well there is probably no virus involved. You did not tell us if you took the memory card out of the camera and inserted it into the card reader in the computer or if it does not have one, buy a USB 2.0 card reader (about $10) and use it. Some cameras cannot be viewed by the file manager on a computer without there first being a program loaded on the computer. The most well know camera that has this fault are the Canon's. For that reason, years ago, Canon users started using card readers for copying their image files to computers.
