How do you set up a speed dial?

How to set shutter speed on an old film camera?

  • Its probably from, like, 1990s? and its the Minolta AF passion. Freedom zoom 135 ex Date. Idk what it all means tho... it has an aspherical lens? 38-135 mm MACRO? i don't know how to set the shutter speed... it there even a button to do it?! it has, like the shutter button. and then 4 buttons that have the macro sign next to them, the other one has teh flash sign. and then one has an eye by it. then the last one has the thing that sort of looks like a clock and frames behind it.... then theres the on and off button, and the zoom dial thing. thats all it has on it... lol. so how do i set the shutter speed?

  • Answer:

I am not seeing any camera called the Minolta AF Passion but if it is any type of SLR camera, it should have a dial on the top that has numbers on it on the right side similar to this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/49/Shutter_speed_dial.png basically those number are under 1 (so 2 would be 1/2 seconds etc) indeed if it is what the other poster said, then you cannot. It is an automatic film camera
