My camera's memory card won't reformat. Please help I need to use it today!!?

Alright I have a olympus camera. The memory card is fujifilm XD 256mb This is what happened I had my memory card in my camera "SAFE" A friend that was staying with me put it in her camera and now that she moved out I can't delete any photo hell I can't even see them Every time I put the memory card in my camera it gives me two horribly options turn off or reformat so I've tried reformatting a thousand times no luck I put it into my computer and try to reformat it that way and it says its protected there is no switch that i can see on my memory card for me to switch unprotected so Im taking a guess that since she used my memory card in her camera that that's what caused this problem. She doesn't have the camera anymore so that leaves me pretty much screwed. I never had any problems and today I really need my camera so can someone pleaseeee help me!!!
Answer:

xD card sliders are usually on the back of the card. You should never switch cards between cameras without formatting each time.

Be sure you have a good antivirus like the Avira or AVG (even the free version) or Malwarebyte's Antimalware. Clean your PC and scan that memory card. You may then reformat the card once you are sure no virus is getting in the way in the PC/laptop. Good luck.
