How to upload pictures?

How do I upload pictures onto my computer?

  • How Do I Upload Pictures Onto My Computer? I have a Nikon 8.1 CoolPix Camera, well it's my dads, but I want to upload pictures onto Facebook of me. But I know how to take pictures, but how do I put the pictures onto the computer? There's a whole drawer full of cables and wifi thingys and stuff, and I am only 13, but I don't want my parents to know I have a Facebook, so I can't tell them about this camera thing. It can't be rocket science, how do I upload pictures onto my computer? Thanks!

You either need to find the cable for the camera (it'll be USB one end and a smaller plug the other - don't force it in, there are several different shapes) and connect the camera. OR, take the memory card out and put it in the right slot in the computer, if it has one - not all do. OR take the card out and put it in a card reader. Once you've done that most PCs will talk you through the rest of it, unless it's been told not to because it's so irritating once you know what you're doing. BUT - are you sure you want the telling off that may come from going behind Dad's back? They do find out in the end, you know - parents are much better at that sort of thing that you think.

take the cable that fits into your camera and your computer at the same time. turn on the camera. your camera should show up as an external hard drive. copy the pictures from your camera to a folder on your computer. or just buy a card reader and you don't need the cable thingys

One of Facebooks terms is Registration and Account Security You will not use Facebook if you are a convicted sex offender Unforunately sex offenders don’t adhere to terms and conditions. Facebook and other social networking sites arent safe site for 13 year olds using it without parental supervision. Tell your parents about the account and ask them for help uploading images. If they don’t want you to have the account or if they want to supervise your activity theres a good reason. They don’t want their child falling victim to a child predator. I cant believe anyone would help a 13 year old set this up knowing their parents didnt approve. I wont help a child put themselves in harms way.
