How do I upload my youtube videos in 720p HD?

I have a Canon ELPH SD1400 It says it shoots videos in 720p HD and I have it to that setting. I then edit my videos with sony vegas, but when I upload them to youtube it's not 720P... What do I have to save my video as? thanks!!

when you export the video be sure to have it export in HD at the right resolution, otherwise it will be in Standard Definition

It depends on the editor you use. To make sure a video is HD, you have to Export it in HD, in your case 1280x720p. If you use Movie Maker, go to File and then click export, or try ctrl + e. If your using iMovie, press command + e and chose the hd option. Just check google to see how to export in HD with your specific editor
