Camera lens fogged up... from inside?

Samsung Digital camera lens fogged, Need Help ASAP?

  • Im going on holiday today and so got my camera out and charged. It's a Samsung VP-D351. I haven't used it in ages but last time i did it worked fine. Now when I turn it on it records all foggy like there is mist in the lens. I have tried cleaning the outside of it and it looks fine, but I was wondering if there is any way to fix this? Maybe its because I left it for so long? Any help appreciated, Luke

  • Answer:

If you're certain it's moisture, try this. Put the camera in an airtight container and place some silica gel packs in there too. Leave it there for a few days before checking if there is some improvement. If it's not moisture, you're out of luck. You can either have it cleaned at the service center or just replace it with a new one.

it seems like the lens may be damaged internally if it was dropped or had something dropped on it this could be the result if it is just that somehow moisture go into it, maybe leaving it in a warm place and with something to absorb moisture could help, but I would not bet on it good luck, but you may just have to buy a new one
