How do I download pics from my cell phone to my computer?

Trying to transfer pics between cell phone, digital camera, and computer.?

  • ok I have a verizon G'zOne Boulder cell phone with a 128MB micro SD card. I also have the Micro SD card adaptor card. I have a Canon powershot A480 digital camera. I tried putting the micro sd card adaptor into the camera and using the camera's usb cable to transfer the photos from the micro card. I previously had a sprint phone and had used the same micro sd card in that phone and just switched the card over with the new verizon phone. When I put the adaptor card into my camera it is only reading the pics I took on the previous phone. I have now deleted those pics from the card and tried to resave the other pics on the card back to the phone and back again saving them to the micro sd card but now my camera is no pics on the card. When I put the card back into my phone my pics are all still on the card....?? Why cant I see the pics through my camera so I can save them to my computer??

    You are proberbly going to need to reformat your sd card. In future instead of plugging your camera/phone into the computer, you may be better just taking the micro sd card out and putting it into a card reader that just plugs into a usb port

The camera is designed to take pictures and let you review them and do other basic stuff. It's not designed to edit and view pictures taken by another device. That's what your computer is for. I don't do anything but copy the photos from camera to computer when they're connected. Same with my mobile. And I definitely don't swap cards from one device to another without expecting to reformat them in that device. Anything else risks damaging the files, in my opinion. There are other ways of connecting your phone to your computer. You could get a card reader. Or a Bluetooth USB gadget - generally accepted as the safest way to connect phone to computer. I trashed the database set-up on my work PC twice with mobile phone software that enabled a USB lead connection!
