Why wont my computer recognize my camera?

Why won't my computer doesn't recognize my camera?

  • I'm running windows vista and the computer has recognized it before. The camera runs on my other computer. When I look at the drivers there is a Yellow triangle in front of the canon camera Symbol. Should I disable it then try to reconnect?

  • Answer:

Did you reinstall your Canon software? Canon is one of the very few cameras that requires the user to use a software connection. Most allow you to see the camera as an external, removable drive when using there computers file managing program (Windows Explorer in your case). This is the reason so many Canon users have purchased a USB 2.0 card reader and leave their cameras out of the loop

well you should go further in and see what the yellow triangle means.....you might see a message saying that the drivers have become disabled...do you want to enable them?? Then you would just click YES and things will be fine:) Pick the EASY method first !!
