My memory card has been corrupted. how to recover the pictures?

HI...i m using sony 2gb memory stick pro duo (high speed). i took a lot many pics using that card. i tried to open using a memory card reader connected to the computer with usb port. the usb port is read by the computer but not the memory stick. i m getting a response as please insert the disk to drive. i tried with service centre in india and singapore. a center in singapore said that the memory stick have been corrupted. now what to do? how to recover the pics? can anyone guide me please?
