Sony Vegas 8 Audio won't play?

Why wont my videos play in Sony Vegas Pro 9.0? HELP!!?

• well they play but like they lag? and skip. my camera is a Sony Cyber-shot and the videos from it wont play on Sony Vegas --- HELP!! PLEASE. I tried opening it because i saved the videos on a like video on sony vegas and they wont even open!

  Some things you failed to mention so we can't answer. What's the camera model? What's the video format? Is it HD video? How old is your computer? All these make a real difference. If this an older computer, as in 2 to 3 years and you're trying to run HD video on it, it won't happen without the problems you mention. Most people don't understand that there is one major difference between HD and standard video. That is that HD creates a huge data stream that older computers, like mine, aren't capable of handling. When I made the switch to HD I also had to update my video card in my computer. For this I went to the source, Dell, because they would have one exactly suited to my system. Sure enough now my HD video plays clean and smooth. It's also important to understand some video programs don't accept certain formats. This could be another problem. For instance I have to convert all my HD/mov videos to the wmv format or I can't edit.
