(did that) 2go to the start menu and double click on my computer (did that) 3.it says that we should see a lists of drives and cd drives and that we should choose a folder labled DCIM. (did see it on our computer. so maybe we didnt plug it in the right hole or our computer isnt the right year. i dont know, i kinda suck when it come to stuff like this. any help will be appreactiated. :) thnx

  • Answer:

Sounds like you are running an old rev of windows. It may not know of your camera. Go to the camera manufacturers website and see if they have a driver for it. That might enable your pc to see it.

On most Windows machines a small box appears on the desk top. Double clicking the box opens it and click on one of the two folders (DCIM) and open it. Your pictures should be their. However there is sometimes problems here especially on Windows machines. It is recommended on this forum to purchase a CARD READER ($6 & up) for you memory card. Plug the reader into an available USB plug on your computer or Hub. Insert memory card and it should appear on desk top. A lot less hassle than camera-to-cord-to computer! Good Luck
