Is it normal to look bad on a camera recording?

Affordable Professional Camera/Video Camera Recommendations?

  • Hello, I would like to buy a nice professional camera that can take both pictures and videos. I tried to start doing some research, but there are TONS of different options out there, which is good, but can also make choosing a camera confusing. I am looking for something that saves content shot onto a memory card, OR can be transferred from the camera to the computer in a very easy manner. I am looking for something that has a built in microphone, which records good quality sound...as I will be the only one recording...so I will not have spare hands for a camera, then a microphone, etc. I would also like it to be able to zoom in and out while taking pictures or video. I am looking for something that has built in features/effects or has lenses that can produce different effects. I want something that has a long battery life. I prefer the batteries like cell phones have (that I know some cameras have), but if it takes the AA batteries (or something like that) I have tons of rechargeable batteries already. I also want a model that can be mounted on a tripod for stationary (and non-shaky) filming. Other than those things I know I want, I'm not sure what else to look for. There were so many options and information that I am not sure what everything was. Does anyone have some recommendations for a professional camera that can take video and pictures and meets what I am looking for (listed above)? And and all help would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Kira

The amount of questions on Yahoo Answers in the Cameras section is small. And I noticed that the usual people have not answered your question. Primarily because the answer lies in two cameras. There just is not a camera that does still or snapshot quality with a really good video feature. I have an older Fuji S20 Pro which I gave like $700 for in the beginning of this digital age and the video is acceptable by my standards, which are I have not used for video. I just tried it when I took a class on the digital cameras, about 7 yrs ago. From what I have seen if you want even "acceptable" video you should purchase a small video camera for "take along". And then look at the Canon Rebel line (there are 3 models) for your main camera.
