How do I record my Wii screen with a Canon 60d?
-
I'm a beginner at this stuff, and I just got my 60d, I know there is the AV cable (red, yellow, white) that connects from the camera to the tv... I just don't know what to do next. Help?

Answer:
The A/V port in the camera is OUT signals only. The 60D is a digital camera, not a digital video recorder. You'll have to shoot the Wii the old fashioned way lens to screen and keep everyone in the house quiet.

That's how you record a TV show with VHS. It's not going to work with a camera. If you want to record with a camera, point the lens at stuff.
Those cables are output only, no input. You can't record to the camera over those cables.
Cameras don't work that way - they don't record like that unless you aim the camera, on a tripod, at the screen and roll video - that's the only way. To record that video you'll need another device.
