What is the Best HD Camera?

  • I bought a Sony DCR-SX44 (camcorder) for $190 on black friday but i thought it was HD. So I am going to exchange it for a camera- or camcorder, that has at least 1080p HD video to put on Youtube. I dont care if it is a camera or camcorder but as long as it is 1080p. Any camera that you think is great? Or should i keep this camcorder?

I have a Canon t1i and it does excellent HD video. I just finished a project for a local private school's holiday program and the video is excellent. You might check it. Understand this camera records in MOV format - that's from Apple - ugh! So the video has to be converted to wmv to edit in a windows editor - I know because I did that as well. I would suggest however that if you decide to do this you get an editing program. I tried converting in a standard converter. The conversion was faster but the quality simply went away.
