Where could i find a GOOD waterproof/underwater camera?

Help me find the right DSLR camera and lens (action and portrait) please?

  • I am looking to buy a good quality DSLR camera and lens that works well for action as well as portrait photos. This will be my first DSLR camera so I understand I do not want a really complex camera, but I am not looking for a beginner's camera either, as I adjust well to technology fairly fast. Features I am looking for include: 1. High continuous speed 2. Large buffer 3. High ISO for any type of lighting 4. Crystal clear, crisp photo quality 5. A camera within budget (I currently have $530, but am willing to save up a little extra if necessary; I do not want anything around $1000 range please) 5. I don't want a huge camera; I need something fairly portable

    I have a question similar to yours? I'm wondering if I should go with Canon or Nikon? I have so many friends that have a Canon Rebel that they love. You might like it as well. There are a few different levels of the Rebel. It just depends on how many mega-pixels you want and how much you want to spend. Personally, I'm like you and don't want to spend $1000. Good luck in your search for a camera! The least expensive of the Rebel costs around $600 I think. You can find it on sale sometimes around $500. Walmart has it along with Target and other electronics stores.

1. There's a nikon d7000 that does 6 fps. 2. Just about all cameras except the basic entry level cams will hold 10 raw pics or 2 dozen jpg without issues 3. D7000 again, very good iso3200 and 6400 useable with a bit of work 4. That's more a matter of a good lens, good light and a photographer who knows what he's doing. I can show you crystal clear work from a D40, a 5 year old entry model with a $100 prime on it. 5, High framerate is going to bother you then 6. Same thing Look at nikon's D3100 perhaps.

For portraits you can get by with any brand DSLR in your price range. For action shots you will need to up your budget quite a bit for a body plus a lens(es).
