Sony Cyber Shot Camera Problems.

I need help with my Sony Camera...?

• Ok, so I have a Sony Cyber-Shot 12.1 Mega Pixel camera. The code is DSC-W210. Now i've had 3 other cameras of the brand Sony, but they've all broke. Now I only bought another sony because Sony has its own specific battery which I was stuck with when the cameras crashed so I thought they would come in handy & I would give sony another chance. Now I was having problems with then lenses a week ago, they wouldnt close and a message came on saying 'Turn camera off and then on again' and I got that same message with my old camera. But I finally got it to work. Thats not my point though. For school were doing Film Angles. And I have to be able to record a video with different angles and zooming while recording. Now I cant seen to be able to zoom while I record? Anyone know a solution to my problem that maybe they've actually done before? Im sorta desperate for help with this. Now im thinking about trying to return it and get another one (preferably not Sony) because the warrenty for this camera isnt up until September. I have everything but the reciet, which is sort of a problem. thanks -Natasha

  There may be a manufacturer warranty that is good until September, but that isn't the same as the return policy of the store where you bought it. Many stores have gotten more strict with electronics and only give you 30 days to return them. You should check into that. You may be stuck with that camera. The W210 isn't an expensive camera and isn't made to be. It isn't the brand of the camera that is the problem but the build quality. I haven't had any problems with the W120 that we have aside from one caused by my three year old dropping it. That is our fault, not the fault of the camera. I don't know if you can zoom with any of the regular compact cameras while recording.
