Sony cybershot won't upload pictures?

i have the usb port and i plugged it into my dell laptop. no program popped up. so i put in the cd and installed the pmb. its not uploading pictures from my camera. whats wrong? how do i upload the photos from my camera to my laptop??

may be problem with usb port for camera either laptop yu can upload yu put memory in laptop slot yu can upload if yu need only from camera yu check yr laptop any softwar problem yu can do from memory to laptop slot
