I have right now a nikon d60 and i want to upgrade to a nikon d7000 but i don't know if its the right choice? Will i see a difference in image quality and will my photos look better even though the nikon d60 has a slightly larger sensor? APS-C 23.6x15.8mm vs APS-C 23.6x15.6mm? or should i get a nikon 700? i am also have a nikon 50mm 1.8 but am thinking of getting a nikon 24-70mm? i want to take portraits.

Answer:
well it seems that you are unsure about upgrading, and the answer then, is NO. get the 24-70mm instead, it will have a much greater impact on your photography than buying a new camera body. Although the D7000 is a nice camera, unless you have reasons to upgrade, stick with your current gear and add lenses. another choice would be to save up and wait for the D800 or snag the D700 at the last minute. Prices are fluctuating.
