My digital camera shows lines when i take a picture but when on video mode it comes out clear. whats wrong?

Since you left a little short on details let me ask this. Do these lines show up when you've got very bright spots in the frame? This can happen with some sensors. If there's no lines on your video I'd say it's not your camera or the sensor. Perhaps a pro or your camera's maker can better answer the question if the problem persists.

Do you mean, on the photograph itself it has lines, or your camera when you aim for pictures it has lines? More information needed - picture, what camera you have, etc.

it is quite natural if you see them in live view .if you see them inthe visor too its will need to rapair.
